Gold for Canaan in Southern Inter-Counties 1500m

At Kingston this weekend, 12 year old Canaan Solomon lined up in the 1500 metre 'A' string race with 12 other county champions from across the South of England. After taking advice from his coach not to lead the for the first two laps, Canaan took the lead with just over a lap to go and built a safe, 10 metre lead over the undefeated Dorset athlete Piers Copeland to come home a worthy champion in 4 mins 41 secs.
