Mark your calendars and get ready to test your limits under the official UK Athletics rules. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a first-timer, we have something for everyone.

What to expect

1. A Welcoming Atmosphere:
Ashton Playing Fields is renowned for its fantastic facilities and welcoming environment. Whether you’re joining us as a competitor or a spectator, expect a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
2. High-Level Competition:
Compete under UK Athletics rules with athletes graded based on their declared performances. This ensures fair and exciting competition, allowing athletes of all levels to challenge themselves and others.
3. Comprehensive Event Schedule:

Our events are designed to cater to a wide range of athletic abilities and interests. From sprints to middle-distance runs, and field events like hammer, javelin, and pole vault, you'll find an event that suits your skills.

Registration: opens at 9:30 AM, with the first field events kicking off at 11:00 am and the first track event starting at 11:00 am.

4. Field Events:

Featuring hammer throw, pole vault, javelin, discus, high jump, triple jump, shot put, and long jump. Field events begin at 11:00, with specific schedules for each discipline.

5. Track Events:
Includes 100m, 150m, 200m, 300m, 800m, 1500m, 400m, mens 2000m steeplechase and 4x100m.
6. Timed and Measured for Precision:
All events will benefit from electronic timing and photo-finish technology to ensure accuracy in recording times and finishes. Field events will provide athletes with multiple attempts, ensuring a comprehensive competitive experience.
7. Enjoyment for Everyone

Aside from the competition, enjoy the camaraderie and spirit of the athletics community. Refreshments will be available, and the beautiful Ashton Playing Fields promises a picturesque backdrop to an day of sporting excellence.

8. Terms & Conditions
  • The event will be held under UK Athletics rules, featuring photo-finish and electronic timing.
  • All field events will allow up to six trials, subject to entry limits.
  • Entries must be submitted as per the closing date on the entry form and all anti-doping rules apply.

Registration
Pre-event registration is mandatory with no entries on the day of the event. Each event costs £8, payable online.
