Roy Williams takes Eastern Counties M60 title

Roy Williams, who was with the club as a teenager and recently rejoined us, won the Eastern Counties M60 Cross Country title at Kettering on Saturday. In very wet and muddy conditions, he stuck with Peter Fitzpatrick of Herts Phoenix, who has been the first M60 home in the first two Active Training World Metropolitan League fixtures this season. Roy reports, "I took the hill slowly and he used all his energy trying to catch me, and had nothing for the 800 run in, and I left him."

The two should renew their battle this coming Saturday at Alexandra Palace.
