ATW Met. League 3 Juniors
It is an ongoing problem for the club that superb performances by the leading athletes are not backed up by more club members taking part and running at a high level. This is not to denigrate the efforts of those boys and girls who do turn out to support the stars. However there was no disappointment in the Girls under 13 class where the team finished top of the leader board to cement their lead in the league. Once again Isabella Hoy showed her class in winning the event by a clear margin ably backed up by Aoife Guyatt in a fine 7th. spot and Katie Petyt in 10th. 4th. scorer was Olivia Hounsome well to the fore in 16th.
The race for women under 17 was also a good one for Woodford with Jessica Burgess again in 1st. spot backed up by Rosie Poole 4th. in her first year at this level and Jodie Ratcliffe in an excellent 6th. place. The team finished in 3rd. place and remain 2nd. in the league.
The event for men under 17 illustrated the club's problem with Perry Rowan winning once more with young Canaan Soloman ( another newcomer to this age group) in 2nd. place. but Woodford had to wait until 46th. place to welcome the clubs 3rd. scorer Harry Cavell.
