At Crystal Palace on Friday evening, Dan Awde placed 5th in the domestic 400m, promoted as a further guide to selection for 400m and 400m relay places for Daegu. Whilst not able to repeat his significant breakthrough of last weekend in theTrials, Dan nevertheless placed 5th in 46.57 secs, and reported that, from the outside lane he felt that he went a bit too fast over the first 200m. Also on Friday, Youcef Abdi, already qualified fro Daegu as a member of the Australian team placed 5th in the 3000m s/ch clocking 8m27..88m, and Tara Bird was in action as pacemaker for both of the 800m races. On the Saturday, Commonwealth Games triple jump champion, Tosin Oke placed 2nd with season's best of 17.21m (+0.7), Shana Cox placed 7th over 400m with 51.63 secs, Tiffany Ofili-Porter placed 3rd in the 100mH in 12.86 (-0.6) on Saturday, having competed in the 4 x 100m relay on Friday night, and Stephanie Gaynor recorded 14.11 secs in a heat of the 100mH. Sam Watts ran the 2nd leg for the GB U/20 4x100m relay team that were disqualified for what looked a marginal zone infringement on the final changeover. HCA member Greg Rutherford was 3rd in the long jump with 8.19m.

At Lee Valley on Wednesday evening, hurdler, Dan Davis improved his 100m personal best with a 10.65 secs (+1.3) clocking, whilst Toyi Durotoye recorded a marginally windy 10.64 secs (+2.2) Jason Greenidge clocked 10.90 secs (+2.0), Funsho Joseph 11.19 secs w (+3.4) and Azaria Francis 12.34 secs w (+2.5)
